I am humbled that last year I made the resolution to write more often about all the cool jobs that come through Avenue Art & Co and I never did. I could blame it on many things, the least being, I never got around to it! But, boy oh boy, were we busy. The commercial side of our business is continuing to be strong. We have numerous healthcare facilities, assisted living and businesses that bring us in to coordinate and frame the art for their spaces.
Looking back, the highlights and accomplishments were huge and we have so much to be grateful for. Our biggest project to date was delivered to the new Fremont Tower at St. Elizabeth Hospital in December. We provided all of the artwork and framing for this new facility! It began a couple of years ago and was supported by the principles of Evidence Based Design. It was an amazing journey and we are very proud of the outcome. We will have pictures to post shortly.
Many other customers added to our success last year and Avenue Art & Co has continued to see new faces walking in the door. We are a great stop when you need an artful lift. We love seeing you and hope that we are continuing to offer you artwork, home items, cards, art supplies and framing that appeal to your senses. Until next time!

Where do I begin? I have made a 2014 resolution to get busy and talk about some of the really cool things that happen around Avenue Art & Company. We are now a year and a half in our new location and we are so grateful for the opportunity to do business in this great space. Last year brought in familiar long-time customers and many new faces as well. We continue to be busy with many outside projects that involve selecting the art, framing, and installations for hospitals, clinics, offices and corporations. Highlights from last year included a custom mobile by Matt Richards for the new Foth building in De Pere, airbrushing original wall art at Theda Clark Hospital’s 4 South renovated patient rooms, handmade paper Tau crosses for the St. Elizabeth Foundation, and many more residential appointments.
January allowed each of us to get out of the store for a little fresh inspiration. The Atlanta International Gift Show introduced Joe and myself to several new lines of handmade products, and the Midwest Art & Framing Expo in Las Vegas was packed full of new framing materials and lots of new artwork for Karen “H” and Paula to be inspired by. Getting to the shows is always a challenge but this was a great opportunity to get a dose of NEW! Stop in and see what we’ve brought into the store. New things are coming in every day!

It sure feels like spring is MIA, but the unlikely sighting of a pair of wild turkeys in our parking lot last week gave us some hope – and some chuckles – as we watched them wander off down Outagamie Street.
Joe has been busy displaying our new line of French inspired table linens by Couleur Nature. Stop in and see how he cleverly made use of a 12′ vintage ladder he found hanging around in our workroom.
We also have newly framed artwork with lots of color and pattern – perfect for a fresh new look in any space.

Welcome to all who visit the new Avenue Art & Company website. I am grateful for all the help with this project and hope you find it helpful, easy to use and inspiring. When we moved the store eight months ago, after 24 years in downtown Appleton, we were excited but also scared. This staff, our friends and family were the reason this move was a wonderful success! As we opened our doors in this marvelous renovated building on West College Avenue we have seen many of our old friends and as well many new faces. Our customers are gleeful about the ample parking lot. We miss our neighbors in City Center Plaza…Faces, Squire, J Hawkinson Clothiers, Green Gecko and Joseph Shoes. However, our new neighbors Grassroots Salon, McKnight & Carlson and Piece by Piece have welcomed us to the neighborhood with open arms. Look for newsy updates and talk about all we have going on and around the store! This week we are introducing a cool made in the USA with love company,Fluffyco. Wallets, card holders and bottle openers with catchy graphics! Thanks for visiting, Karen Gallery Owner
